KARACHI: Sindh Training and Labour Minister Saeed Ghani on Thursday revealed that the Sindh authorities has eliminated 3,000 colleges from its system as a result of the colleges had been registered however they didn’t exist in actuality. 

He was talking throughout a session of the Sindh Meeting on Wednesday.

Answering a query, Ghani mentioned that a number of colleges had been inbuilt locations the place just one faculty was required, including that no planning was carried out for the constructed colleges both.

The minister added that the federal government will take away extra skeleton colleges and can solely run these that are required in accordance with the wants of their respective areas.

“If there are six schools in an area but only two are needed there, then we will shut down the remaining four schools,” the minister mentioned. “There should be at least 30 children in a school for it to be functional.” 

Throughout the session, PTI MNA Haleem Adil Sheikh took a jibe at Ghani and requested whether or not he opened any colleges in Sindh or is just busy addressing jalsas.

 In response to which, the provincial schooling minister mentioned that he’s a member of a political get together and conducting jalsas can also be part of his job, including that he’s “ready to answer stupid questions too”.

Answering one other query associated to visiting colleges, Saeed Ghani mentioned that “only Superman can visit all 49,000 schools in the province”.

“I cannot visit all the schools,” he mentioned.

Talking concerning the vacancies within the Sindh Training Division, Minister Saeed Ghani mentioned that, at current, there are 37,000 vacant positions within the division which might be stuffed on the premise of advantage.
