Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi stated on Tuesday that he was honoured after Marylebone Cricket Membership (MCC), which owns the enduring Lord’s Cricket Floor and is the guardian of the game’s legal guidelines, conferred a lifetime membership to him.

“A big honour to receive Marylebone Cricket Club lifetime membership,” Afridi wrote on Twitter.

The previous Pakistan captain thanked the “prestigious” MCC for giving him “respect and recognition”.

The 41-year-old vowed that he would proceed to play his half within the “promotion” of the “wonderful sport both on and off the cricket field”.

Again in 2017, Afridi — together with Pakistan’s highest Take a look at run-getter Younis Khan and present Pakistan crew coach Misbah ul Haq — was made an “honorary life member”.
