RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has determined to renew worldwide flights from Might 17 apart from the 20 international locations which are underneath the grip of worsening coronavirus scenario.

Replying to queries, the Saudi sources in a press release on Twitter account mentioned: “Welcome, our expensive visitor, the suspension of all worldwide flights will likely be lifted ranging from 1 am on Monday, Might 17. However this received’t be relevant to international locations the place the related official committee determined to droop journey to or from as a result of outbreak of coronavirus.”

Saudi Arabia had imposed a travel ban on international flights on February 3.

The conditions for the resumption of flights may vary with different countries, Saudi Airlines said, adding that the sanctions will remain in place for countries where the situation is worse due to coronavirus.

The temporary ban, effective from February 3, included people arriving from Argentina, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, the United States of America, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Pakistan, Brazil, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Turkey, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Lebanon, Egypt, India, and Japan.

The same ban was positioned in December after a brand new pressure of COVID-19 was recognized in the UK.
