PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Thursday claimed that PTI lawmakers “know that the government is on its way out” and can “not vote” for the federal government within the Senate elections.

Addressing a gathering in Karachi held to have a good time the victory of PPP candidate Yousuf Murtaza Baloch within the PS-88 Malir by-election, Bilawal requested: “If the government has faith in its members, why is it trying to enter through a back door?”

The comment was a probable reference to the presidential ordinance that has been promulgated to pave the way in which for open balloting in Senate elections due on March 3. The ordinance is topic to a pending opinion by the Supreme Courtroom on open balloting.

The PPP chairman stated the presidential reference within the Supreme Courtroom, displays the PTI’s insecurity in its personal lawmakers. He claimed that the PTI lawmakers will “happily vote for PPP” since they “know that the government is on its way out”.

He dared the federal government to face different events democratically within the polls.

Bilawal accused the federal government of constructing “every state institution controversial”.

“Sometimes it is the Election Commission, at others the Supreme Court,” he stated.

The PPP chairman stated his occasion will “not allow anyone” to make the Senate elections “controversial” or to “rig” them.

Bilawal stated the PPP is combating in opposition to the federal government in each area. “They were thinking we will boycott the [Senate] elections and make things easy for them,” he stated.

“Wherever by-elections have been held, the government has suffered a humiliating defeat,” he stated, including that the victory within the PS-88 by-polls “proves that Karachi is Bhutto’s city”.

“The card played by PDM has left them in a panicked state,” Bilawal stated.

He stated that the Opposition alliance will “add to their worries” in Islamabad, Punjab and Sindh, within the Senate elections, and expressed confidence it should emerge victorious.

“Their worry is making them try to rig the elections through someone or the other,” the PPP chairman claimed.

He stated the Senate is an emblem of the federation and “no one should dare bring anyone in to the Senate through the back door”.

Bilawal stated that occasion is “ready” whether or not it’s an open poll or a secret vote.

He warned the federal government to be ready for the lengthy march in March.
