ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan acknowledged on Thursday the abroad Pakistanis for their staggering reaction to the Roshan Digital Accounts activity by the government.
He declared that the deposit sum in the Roshan Digital records had crossed $200 million.
He said the Pakistani expats are “great assets”.

“The pace is accelerating: first $100 mn came in 76 days and the next $100 mn came in only 28 days,” the Prime Minister composed on Twitter.

Roshan Digital Account empowers abroad Pakistanis to work advanced records in Pakistan while sitting abroad.
The Pakistani government expects to pull in venture from the diaspora to support unfamiliar trade saves from this initiative.
A national bank initiative
In a public statement gave in September, the Prime Minister’s Office had said the activity by the national bank will work with business banks working in Pakistan.
“For the first time in the country’s history, Non-Returning Pakistanis (NRP) will be able to remotely open an account through an entirely digital and online process without any need to visit a bank branch, embassy, or consulate,” it said.

“The customer can choose either foreign currency or rupee dominated account, or both. Funds in these accounts will be fully repatriable, without the need for any regulatory approval,” the assertion read.
Speaking to Bloomberg, SBP Governor Dr Reza Baqir had said the new office will be accessible to 9,000,000 non-inhabitant Pakistanis, permitting them to put cash in neighborhood financial exchanges, purchase government securities and protections, and benefit of essential banking services.
The SBP manager had added that as of now, at any rate eight Pakistani banks will encourage the Roshan Digital Accounts and permit abroad Pakistanis to store assets in possibly US dollars or Pakistani rupees.
