ISLAMABAD: The IT system of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) crashed on Tuesday forcing the hospital to place off its vaccination course of, Geo Information reported.

The suspension of the vaccination course of troubled individuals who had arrived at PIMS and had been ready in line to get the coronavirus vaccine jab. A number of aged individuals had been requested by the hospital’s administration to return with out being inoculated.

Reacting to the event, the hospital administration mentioned the IT system had crashed because of the closure of the NTC server, including that with out the IT system, it wasn’t potential to vaccinate individuals.

“We cannot vaccinate people without entering relevant data into NADRA’s database,” a hospital official mentioned, saying that transferring the system to an alternate system will take a while.

The system is anticipated to be restored by 5 pm, the official mentioned. “The other routine functions of the hospital are being done manually,” he added.
