
LAHORE: The match referee of the primary ODI between Pakistan and South Africa slapped a 20% positive on the house group for sustaining a sluggish over-rate.
Andrew Pycroft of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanction after South Africa had been discovered one over wanting the goal after time allowances had been considered.
As per the Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Gamers and Participant Help Personnel, which pertains to minimal over-rate offences, gamers are fined 20% of their match charges for each over their aspect fails to bowl within the allotted time.
South African skipper Temba Bavuma pleaded responsible to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction.
