KARACHI: Prime cops of Karachi on Friday reviewed the safety preparations for the South African crew that arrived in Karachi in the present day, reported The Information.

The publication reported that DIG Safety and Emergency Division Maqsood Memon apprised the assembly chaired by Karachi’s extra inspector normal of police.

The officers had been briefed on the steps taken on the arrival of South African crew, its lodging at a resort, and its motion within the metropolis to participate within the observe classes and the Check match.

The assembly was additionally attended by a delegation of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The board has expressed satisfaction with the safety plan of the Karachi police.

Twenty-four senior cops — 59 DSPs, 3,612 head constables/constables, 31 ladies police personnel, 300 personnel of the Speedy Response Drive, and 1,080 commandoes of the Particular Safety Unit — will carry out safety duties through the groups’ keep in Karachi.

As many as 354 personnel of the Particular Department of the Sindh police will carry out their duties on the Nationwide Stadium and the resorts in civvies. SWAT groups may also be deployed to take care of any scenario.
