- Lecturers ask AJK PM, secretary finance to satisfy calls for
- Protesters vow to not disperse till their calls for are met
- Police have arrested as many as 20 protesting lecturers
MUZAFFARABAD: The lecturers in Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s capital Muzaffarabad on Wednesday took to the streets, demanding the authorities involved to improve their job ranks.
Hordes of lecturers, who had been reportedly headed in direction of a secretariat constructing, had been interrupted by the capital’s police.

The police resorted to lathi-charge and tear fuel to disperse the protesting lecturers, because of which a number of of them had been injured, whereas 20 had been arrested.
Because the protesters reacted to the police’s interruption by pelting stones on the regulation enforcement company, three personnel had been left wounded.

The lecturers requested the AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider and secretary finance to satisfy their calls for. “We will not disperse until our demands are met”.
