Malaysian authorities on Friday seized a Pakistan Worldwide Airways (PIA) Boeing-777 on the Kuala Lumpur Airport.

The PIA airplane was seized on the orders of a neighborhood Malaysian courtroom over the non-payment of plane lease dues, sources disclosed.

PIA had leased two plane, together with the Boeing-777,  from a Vietnamese firm in 2015.

The airplane was seized after passengers had already boarded the plane. The plane’s 18-member employees additionally grow to be stranded in Kuala Lumpur as a result of seizure, and can now quarantine for 14 days as per protocols, the sources stated.

In the meantime, the nationwide flag provider stated that the PIA plane has been held again on the orders of a neighborhood courtroom in Malaysia which, it argued, has taken a one-sided determination pertaining to a authorized dispute between PIA and one other get together pending in a UK courtroom.
