ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani on Monday acknowledged that it appeared as if the institution is “completely neutral”, because the Pakistan Democratic Motion’s (PDM) events, the PPP and the PML-N beat the ruling get together within the by-elections for 3 seats. 

The PPP chief, who has been nominated because the joint Senate candidate for the PDM, thanked the Opposition events for placing their religion in him. 

“I am extremely grateful to the PDM for expressing confidence in me,” he stated. “The PDM gave me its ticket [for Senate elections], I will represent the PDM,” he added. 

The previous prime minister stated that he had gotten elected in 2008 because the prime minister of the nation via a consensus, including that he had secured 264 votes to turn out to be prime minister after the 2008 basic elections. 

“I secured the votes on the basis of my cordial relations [with parliamentarians],” he stated. The ex-premier stated he would go individually to satisfy every member of the PDM. 

“My victory in the Senate elections will be a victory for the forces of democracy,” he stated, congratulating the PDM for its candidates’ victory within the current elections. 

Gillani refutes rumours of assembly Jahangir Tareen 

The previous prime minister refuted hypothesis that he met PTI chief Jahangir Tareen. “I have neither met Jahangir Tareen neither established contact with him,” he stated.

In response to a query, Gillani stated that it seems as if the institution is impartial. The previous prime minister didn’t elaborate the context on which he was talking about. 

Senate polls: Nawaz assures Zardari of PML-N’s help for Yusuf Raza Gilani

Earlier, PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif on Saturday supplied full help to PPP Co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari for Gilani, the PDM’s joint candidate for the Senate polls from Islamabad, sources instructed Geo Information.

Nawaz had assured Zardari of his get together’s help in a phone name between the 2 leaders. Sources had additionally stated that the previous president then instructed Gilani to talk to the PML-N supremo individually.
