A “highly educated” Indian couple killed their two daughters, requesting police later to provide them a day as they believed they may revive them, in response to Indian media experiences. 

Two younger ladies, each sisters, had been allegedly killed by their dad and mom of their Andhra Pradesh residence on Sunday, in what the police suspect could possibly be a homicide linked to an occult. 

Police stated that they had been initially denied entry into the home when neighbours known as and knowledgeable them that one thing was incorrect. barging into the home, police discovered Alekhya (27) and Sai Divya (23) mendacity on the ground in a pool of blood in purple saris.

Neighbours informed police that the dad and mom had been concerned in a ritual earlier than the murders, including that the couple believed their daughters had been possessed by evil spirits. 

The neighbours additional revealed that the ladies had been made to circle the home as a part of some ritual earlier than they had been bludgeoned to demise. 

“The scene of crime suggests some rituals were carried out; the women were clad in a red saree and the parents appeared to be highly delusional,” police officer Ravi Manohara Chary informed an Indian TV channel. 

“There have been solely 4 folks in the home, the husband, spouse and their two daughters. There are CCTV cameras right here, so we are going to analyse it. From what they’re saying, they went away spiritually into one other zone, they informed us, give someday’s time, we are going to deliver them again to life.”

The dad and mom, Valleru Purushottam Naidu and Padmaja, are each of their 50s and have been arrested. Chary stated that Naidu is a professor of chemistry and vice-principal of the Authorities Ladies’ Diploma School in Madanapalle whereas Padmaja is a postgraduate in arithmetic.  

Alekhya, one of many women who was killed, was making ready for the civil companies examination. Her sister Sai Divya was a graduate and was pursuing music at an institute.
