England batsman Dawid Malan on Saturday broke Pakistan skipper Babar Azam’s document of hitting the quickest 1,000 runs in Twenty-20 Internationals (T20I).
Malan achieved the feat throughout a match towards India at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, as his crew chased a 225 goal set by the Males In Blue.
Malan was in a position to attain 1,000 runs in 24 innings, whereas Azam had completed the goal again in 2018 in 26 innings.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who is correct behind Azam, scored the goal in 27 innings, whereas Australia’s Aaron Finch and India’s Kannur Lokesh Rahul reached the rating in 29 innings.
