KARACHI: The Sindh authorities on Wednesday introduced it was imposing micro-smart lockdowns in numerous areas of the District Central of Karachi owing to the rising variety of coronavirus instances reported in these areas.

In line with a notification issued on this regard, the micro-smart lockdowns might be imposed in numerous areas of the Central District on March 17, 2021, and can keep in place for 14 days, i.e. till March 31, 2021.

The areas the place the lockdown might be imposed embody 9 union councils (UCs) within the areas of North Karachi, North Nazimabad, and Gulberg, the notification stated.

The notification additional stated that smart-lockdowns have been imposed upon the suggestion of the district well being officer.

All individuals getting into and exiting the designated areas might be required to put on a face masks always, the notification said, including that pointless motion in these areas may even be prohibited.

“All business and industrial activities in the area will remain suspended,” the notification additional stated. “Family gatherings will also be prohibited.”

All individuals who have examined optimistic for COVID-19 must quarantine at house, whereas the provincial authorities will take steps to make sure the provision of rations to deserving individuals.
