Minister for Data and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Friday mentioned that the Centre is “reviewing” Sindh’s resolution to impose a lockdown within the province and can oppose any strikes which have opposed impacts on the financial system.
“The prime minister’s policy is clear on this. We will oppose any such move which adversely affects the livelihood of the common citizen,” the data minister mentioned.
He mentioned that the Nationwide Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) and the Sindh authorities should draft a technique that minimises the influence on the livelihood of the widespread citizen in addition to companies.
‘PTI has opposed lockdown in Karachi’
In the meantime, PTI MPA Sindh Arsalan Taj mentioned that his celebration has “opposed” the imposition of a lockdown within the metropolis.
He mentioned there was “no truth” within the assertion issued by the spokesman for Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah that the PTI has supported the choice.
He alleged that PPP, by resorting to the lock down, wished to “damage the economy of the city”.
NCOC to ‘help Sindh authorities’
Earlier, earlier than the assembly of the coronavirus job drive started, the NCOC mentioned it has “decided to take all possible measures to assist the Sindh government in combating the rising trend” of coronavirus within the province, particularly Karachi.
“The measures being undertaken by federal government include ramp up of critical care capacity including oxygenated beds and vents, availability of oxygen and deployment of LEAs for implementation of SOPs and NPIs,” the NCOC mentioned.
