ISLAMABAD: The Broadsheet saga is continuous to make headlines within the nation as the top of the asset restoration agency has now claimed that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif provided them a bribe to desert the probe in opposition to his international property.

Broadsheet CEO Kaveh Moussavi, in a YouTube interview, stated the corporate had flatly refused the deal provided by an individual claiming to be a nephew of Nawaz Sharif, within the 12 months 2012, retorting that the Broadsheet didn’t negotiate with crooks.

“Sharif family has assets not only in the United Kingdom but across the globe,” he stated, including that the Sharif household required loads of rationalization about their sources of amassing these property.

He stated the method of accountability was persevering with, however after President Musharraf left workplace, his successors began hampering the method by not giving entry to data and termination of Broadsheet’s contract.

Responding to a query, he severely criticised Nawaz Sharif for claiming that Broadsheet had exonerated the Sharifs.

“Indeed Broadsheet did the opposite exactly,” he stated, including that it was an entire lie that Broadsheet exonerated the Sharif household. “Broadsheet did not pursue Avenfield apartments source of buying as a Pakistani accountability court had already contended that the apartments were bought by the Sharifs from the stolen money. However Broadsheet was ready to investigate money sources of Avenfield apartments if asked by the government of Pakistan,” he said.

The CEO stated Nawaz Sharif was behind the termination of the contract with Broadsheet which was investigating how a whole bunch of hundreds of thousands of {dollars} had been stolen from Pakistan and stashed overseas.

Moussavi stated Musharraf tasked Broadsheet to detect the property of 200 folks. However, after his tenure, the NAB began asking to take away names of sure folks from the record that was refused.

“This was the hypocrisy of the then government of Pakistan,” he stated.
